Disastrum Journal (DJ) is a biannual journal published by Lafadl Initiatives, Yogyakarta, online and free of charge. Initially published in Bahasa, we provide DJ for Indonesian readers, and we hope our bilingual issues, in Bahasa and English, will reach a wider international audience. Our endeavor is to foster meaningful discourse in political and economic studies of disasters, as the conversation around disasters has been predominantly focused on natural disasters alone. We recognize that man-made and industrial disasters, aside from the predestined conditions of natural disasters, not only have significant impacts on human life and the environment but also have deep roots in the way we manage a diverse range of industrial activities. This field is, unfortunately, still largely a frontier zone. We will continuously adhere to this perspective and keep pace with industrial disaster-related issues. To maintain our standards, we extensively cover many aspects of political and economic studies of disasters with a multi-perspective approach to science. For those looking to contribute to our discussions or enhance their understanding, a science essay writing service can be a valuable resource in crafting well-researched and impactful submissions.
